Rate limits
The limits are set far above normal use. Hitting one usually means a reconnect loop or a subscription that is opened and closed too often.
Limits
| Limit | Value | When exceeded |
|---|---|---|
| New lane connections per IP | 30 per minute | NOTICE rate-limited: …, then closed (1008) |
| Messages per connection (any type) | 240 per minute | NOTICE rate-limited: …, then closed (1008) |
| Events per key | 120 per minute | OK false rate-limited: … |
| Open subscriptions per connection | 16 | CLOSED rate-limited: … |
Messages include REQ and CLOSE. A client that re-opens its subscriptions every few seconds reaches the message limit long before the event limit.
